Oregon Conference annual town hall meetings are just around the corner––we’ll be holding five gatherings across the conference next month.
This year you can expect the format to be a bit different, however. We want to lean into our shared mission and reality of being family, and healthy families eat and tackle challenges together! So, this year we will be starting with a light supper. During that time, you’ll get the chance to read through written reports from our administration team members, as well as connect with our departmental leaders who will be available to provide resources and guidance for your local church ministries.
Following supper, we will share a time of worship, led by Elder John McVay, and then move into round-table discussion and questions pertaining to not only the reports, but also visioning for our shared future. Don’t worry, you’ll still have the opportunity to ask questions directly of our administration team, too.
This is something new, and as always, there will be things we learn to do better as we go along, but we hope that this can be meaningful time together. One that not only gives a clear picture of where we are currently but also provides a constructive way of building our future together. We look forward to seeing you!
