Following the Lord wherever He leads is a key principle of ministry. Pastor Juan Pacheco, who has served as Assistant to the President for Communication since July 2023, recently accepted the Lord’s call to the Florida Conference, where he will serve as a senior pastor in the Fort Myers Hispanic community.
Pacheco has played a vital role in Oregon Conference communication during recent months. “Working in the Oregon Conference has been one of the greatest blessings and privileges that the Lord has allowed me to experience,” Pacheco recently shared. “These 17 years of service as a pastor in Hispanic churches and in the last year as Assistant to the President for Communications was the space of time where I clearly experienced the grace of God, the affection of the church family, and the extraordinary leadership of the administration and team within our conference.”
“The opportunity to be closer to our family and continue serving the Lord following His calling helped us make this decision with hope, even knowing that we will greatly miss our spiritual family from the Oregon Conference,” concluded Pacheco.
“Pastor Juan has been an excellent pastor in Oregon Conference, effectively leading his members to know and love Jesus, and his churches to serve their communities and share Jesus,” shared President Dan Linrud. “He has been beloved as a pastor and as a highly valued member of our conference office and administration team as Assistant to the President for Communications. Pastor Juan always has a positive spirit and “can-do” attitude and is loved by all. It has been a great joy to serve together! While Pastor Juan will be greatly missed in Oregon Conference, I pray for God’s abundant blessings for him and his beautiful family as they continue to serve the Lord near extended family in Florida.”
Pacheco’s last day with us in Oregon will be June 29. Please lift up the entire family in prayer as they make this move to Florida to continue their ministry.
