Oregon Conference Education Leadership Search Update

Oregon Conference Education Leadership Search Update

In April 2023, President Dan Linrud began leading a search for the next Oregon Conference VP for Education. Assisted by Keith Hallam, NPUC VP for Education, Oregon administration has sought dozens of conversations with education administrators both within our conference and from across the North American Division. In the search, Oregon continues to seek godly leaders who have high levels of competency in supporting teachers in standards-based learning and demonstrated experience in strategic educational leadership.

So far, the nationwide search has resulted in many good conversations, but no clear direction from the Lord toward our next education leaders in Oregon. At this point, due to the timing of the education hiring cycle, it looks like the search pivots toward seeking high-quality interim leaders for the 2023-2024 school year. Administration will continue diligent work to seek God’s guidance to find the right person to fill the role permanently.

While we had hoped for clear direction by this time, we need not be discouraged. Oregon Conference schools already have excellent principals and teachers in place. Our schools are in good hands. With support from interim superintendents, the coming school year is primed for success.

Join the Oregon Conference office team as we keep praying for this process and seek God’s will for the future leaders of Oregon Conference Education.
