We are so accustomed to sharing abundant praise reports and inspirational stories with you, that it is difficult to share this information with you. But, we need to share this with you as our conference-wide family.

Due to significant concerns regarding Gale Crosby’s fiduciary responsibilities as Vice President for Education (Superintendent of Schools), on Thursday, March 17, 2022, the Oregon Conference Executive Committee voted to end Gale Crosby’s service in this position and his employment, effective immediately, and move in a different direction.  

Recognizing the importance of the position of VP for Education (Superintendent of Schools), a process to fill the position will begin immediately. Please join in praying and trusting in the Lord to lead in the filling of this important position.

While changes can bring anxiousness and even pain, we remain confident in the Lord’s blessings as the Oregon Conference Executive Committee, the Administration, and our team of Associate Education Superintendents continue to be committed to supporting our amazing educators and schools in carrying out the mission of Adventist education with excellence.

In the interim, until the next VP for Education is in place, we are grateful that the North Pacific Union Conference (NPUC) Education Department will assist with additional leadership support to the Oregon Conference Associate Education Superintendents and department.

The mission of Christ-centered ministry to our students, their families, and the supporting church communities, remains our high priority and focus. We’re thankful that our 32 schools are served by an excellent team of principals and teachers, along with many staff, volunteers and our pastors, who are all committed to quality Christian education for every student.
