Three Sisters School Receives Bouldering Wall

Three Sisters School Receives Bouldering Wall

By Randy Folkenberg

Three Sisters Adventist Christian School is incredibly excited for the new year – our 100th year as a school and we are especially excited about the addition of a bouldering wall in our gymnasium!

This wall, approximately 12 feet in height and 40 feet in length, provides an excellent way for our kids to get exercise, practice problem solving, encourage each other, and learn skills through which they can engage in recreation in God’s creation! In addition, this wall is an incredible asset to our broader community who will be able to use it for events after school hours.

The bouldering wall is state-of-the-art, built by one of the top climbing wall companies in the world, and happens to be local––EP Climbing from Bend, Oregon!

Through providential timing and connections, we were able to purchase the wall for less than half of the retail prices. Even more miraculous has been the financial support of several donors who, in a matter of days, funded the entirety of the initial cost. Our local churches have also stepped in with support to finish the project with the purchase of holds, mats, and climbing shoes for the students and community to use.

We are looking forward to our first bouldering event for our students and their families as well as the opportunity this boulder wall gives to reach a broader audience and build connections in our community. We praise God for this gift!
