The annual trip to Bible Camp at Washington Family Ranch expanded this year! Back in September, the Oregon Conference Youth Department added a second week to the Bible Camp experience to include students in junior high, as well.

The Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Executive Committee voted that the Bloom group plant in Portland, Oregon, will no longer be part of the Adventist church and Oregon Conference, effective September 1, 2023.

The Bloom church plant began as an Adventist Fellowship in late 2019, with public Sabbath worship services beginning in 2020 as part of the Oregon Conference initiative to plant more new churches across the territory.  

For many who were raised in the Seventh-day Adventist denomination, camp meeting is a tradition that extends far beyond the generations of our parents and grandparents. It’s something we may take for granted or assume the people around us know about, but for many people the idea of camp meeting is something new.
